.. Or almost at least. Dont know if can call it AW if only one of us that was participating is currently employed. But anyhow. I met up with some friends yesterday, old colleagues actually. And we went to a new place in Sliema where we had some tapas and drinks. It was really nice, i enjoyed booth my company, the food and the drinks. Even so much that we will meet up at the same place again on Monday. But this time we are going to wait for the 6pm menu to start so we can try out some f their other options at their menu. Really like places like this.
Yesterday was a big day for me. I managed to succeed with something that i have been practicing for during a long time now. And yesterday it all paid off. And since it was Friday i decided to celebrate. Went out with a bunch of friends to Hugos middle east. Never been there before but their drinks was really good, and we was in perfect time to enjoy some of the happy hour ones. After that we sent to sing karaoke and have some whiskey at one of our favorite bars around here.
I felt the whiskey when i woke up this morning but luckily not too much. After a few slow hours with breakfast in bed we decided to join our friends at Surfside for some nice hangouts in the sun. Best idea ever! I had a really nice day and did really enjoy myself. And that will continue. After just waking up from a long nap it is time to get started for the last house party in this place before we move out.
What a day, so much stress. But now i am finally home, after a day that started with my alarm ringing at 5.50. Sadly no victories this day either with all our paperworks. Well, i guess things cant always come easy. And you know what they say, “Fall down seven times stand up eight”. And when things not really going my way, depending on what it is, i always have some ways to think about it.
– You cant do anything about something that is not in your power
– It could always be worse
– Work with what you have
– Dont give up, even if you fail, at least you tried
– It is okay to fail, we are only humans
– No one else has any idea of what the hell they are doing either
– 99.99% of the setbacks, it is not the end of the world, you will survive
– If it meant to be it will, sometimes things just take time
Well, now my day was not THAT dramatic so i needed to think all of this sentences in my head. But it had been a pretty bad day so far. So lets change that! From now on, this day will be great, i will open a can of cold cisk, starting a game or a movie and enjoy my free time for the rest of the day, together with my better half.:)
I am probably not the only one who is obsessed with buying new beauty and make up products to try out. Sometimes i have to forbid myself from buying any more products until the ones i have is finished. Which makes perfectly sense. Having a stock of hundreds of products is not the best way to go since your makeup products doesn’t last forever. Sometimes it can even hurt your skin instead of helping when you are using products that have gone bad or is out of date. Thats why i want to share this list with you guys. A list of how long your make up products actually lasts normally.
How long does my mascara last? – Your mascara often say on the package that it will last for 6 months after you open it. But you should definitely switch that out more often than that. Mascara is the biggest bacterial bomb of all of your make up products. Bacterias are growing very fast in your mascara after you start using it and can give you an eye infection if used to long. Try to switch it out at least every 3 months.
How long does my eyeliner last? Here it depends if you have a liquid eyeliner or if you have a eyeliner pencil. The liquid one last about 1 year, and the pencil one last around 2 years. This is because you use the pencil sharpener pretty often when using a eyeliner pen. That will remove the bacterias on the pencil every time you use the sharpener.
How long does my foundation last? If you have a water based foundation it will last up to 1 year. If you have an oil based foundation it will last up till two years. BUT, if you think your foundation start smelling bad or different, you should switch it out immediately since it is probably because of bacterias, and will be bad to use on your skin.
How long does my make up powder last? Around 2 years. But you have to clean your brushes often. If you use powder everyday you should clean the powder brush once a week. If you feel that your skin starting to get irritated when using the powder, it might starting to go bad and you should switch it out for a new one. Same thing applies to your rouge.
How long does my lipstick last? Your lipstick can stay fresh from 6 months up to 1 year and 6 months. It really depends on what kind of lipstick you have. But if it starts to smell bad or feel grainy, throw it away!
How long does my lip gloss last? This can last from a couple of months up to 6 month. It really depends how clean your lips are while using this product. If you dont have clean lips before using it, a lot of bacteria will end up in the container of the lip gloss and start growing. Here is the same with the smell, if you start feeling it smells bad, change it. Also if you start to feel that the liquid gone thinner, than it is also a sign of the product getting bad.
How long does my Concealer last? Between 6 months up to a year. But like with all the other products, this should be thrown away if it starts to smell bad.
How long does my eyeshadow last? This ones can last for years, as long as you make sure to close the lid after you have been using it. If you have a cream eyeshadow it will last around 2 years.
How long does my lip liner last? This ones work the same as the eye liner. It will last around 2 years as long as you make sure to sharpen it often and keep bacterias away.
How long does my nail polish last? Nail polish lasts up till 2 years. But as you probably already know, if the consistence start getting thicket it is time to throw it away. It is not very useful after it starts thickening either.

So it was Sunday again. The weekend has been spent a lot at home (i have been very tired), but we have also done a lot of fun stuff. Yesterday we went out for kayaking to an open cave. It was really nice and i found a new talent of mine. I have never kayaking in my whole life (what i can remember) so i got i bit surprised that i was that good at it.
Anyhow, it was a really nice experience and the cave was amazing. Think about being on a kayak, on turquoise water, in front of you there is this beautiful cave where light reflexion is dancing on the walls in the same rhythm as the waves goes. The picture that you are having in your head right now, thats how amazing it was for real.
I will ask a friend for the pictures of the day later, could not really bring my mobile or camera to the ocean.
After that trip i totally passed out when we got home. Woke up a while later and headed over to a small rooftop party to watch all the fireworks that are going on around our area right now. When that was done we went for Funky Monkey for a few drinks before we headed home again to sleep. I was still extremely tired during the whole evening and i was not even sure i would make it out to be honest.
Today the sun is shining (ofc its Malta), and the weather looks great. But i have decided to stay in the whole day and just do some writing, watching shows, packing and all other lazy things i can come up with. Love my Sundays in bed and i already got too much sun yesterday.
I woke up early this day. Very tired. Had a lot to fix and a lot to clean. The time to leave this house is getting closer and we are having people over to check the place out. People that are interested to take it over when we leave. I have exactly 3 weeks left now. 3 weeks left until i leave my life in Malta, the life that i had for the past 3 years. I will leave it to go back to my old life in Sweden, or not really going back to my old life, a lot have changed. But it will be a new chapter in my life, or should i say our life (me ad my bf), and i am very excited about it. I moved to Malta 7th September 2014. I am leaving Malta 7th September 2017. Who could have guessed?
Well, lets see what the future has in store for us.
But before that, i will enjoy my last 3 weeks in Malta, even if i am sure i will see this island very soon again. So this will be 3 weeks of a lot of sun, nice food, party, but also some training of course.
